What Is Mailbox Melodies?
Mailbox Melodies is a music enrichment program for children ages 0–6+.
Each month, families receive a themed music experience designed to support early childhood development through songs, movement, rhythm, listening, storytelling, mindfulness, and parent-child connection — all completely screen-free.
The program was created after families attending Grape Jammers, our live toddler music classes in Napa, asked for a way to bring the same joyful music experience into their homes.

Who Is Ms. Chelsea?
Early Childhood Music Educator
Before starting Mailbox Melodies, Chelsea created Grape Jammers Music, a music education business in Napa, California, where she still teaches toddler music classes today. She has also taught preschool, is classically trained in voice, and has over 30 years of stage experience — including professional performances at Disneyland and SeaWorld. These days she writes and records the songs, draws the zines, and packs every envelope herself, and tries it all out on her own two little ones for inspiration.
Because she is still in the classroom every week, every song is road-tested on a real room of that exact age before it ever ships to your home.

Charter School Funding
As a third-party vendor, Mailbox Melodies accepts homeschool funding through approved charter partnerships.
We are currently an approved vendor with Compass Charter Schools, Heartwood Charter School and Heartland Charter School, and we are happy to begin the vendor approval process with other charters.
Enrolled with a charter? Email hello@mailboxmelodies.net and we’ll help you figure out how your funding can be applied. We’re happy to coordinate with families, educational advisors, and charter purchasing departments on approval, purchase orders, and invoicing.
Questions Charter Families Ask
How do I order using my charter funds?
We are already an approved vendor with Compass Charter Schools, Heartwood Charter School and Heartland Charter School. The process varies a little between them, but it generally works the same way: request Mailbox Melodies (it may also show as “Grape Jammers Music,” our live music education classes) from your charter’s approved vendor list, then work with your educational advisor to generate a purchase order. Once we have the purchase order, we ship the bundle out to you. Email hello@mailboxmelodies.net at any point and we will walk you through it.
Does the 6-month bundle arrive all at once, or one a month?
All at once. Your six months of Mailbox Melodies ship together in a single delivery, and each one is labeled by month so you know the order to roll them out in. Your scholar still gets a brand new theme and a new set of songs each month — you just have the whole semester’s worth in hand and can plan around it.
Do I need to order one per child?
Charter funding is per enrolled scholar, so each enrolled child is ordered for individually. Beyond that, it is really up to you. Plenty of families share one copy between siblings and it works beautifully. Other children do better with their own — a scholar who can pick up their own CD and press play is exercising real agency over what they listen to and how often, and that ownership is part of what makes the music stick. One per scholar is optimal, but sharing is perfectly fine.
What if my charter is not one of the three you are approved with?
Reach out and we will get approved. We are happy to go through the vendor approval process with any charter, independent study program or private school satellite program. Email hello@mailboxmelodies.net with your charter’s name and the contact for their vendor or purchasing coordinator, and we will take it from there.
Do we need a CD player? Do I need to be musical?
You do not need to be musical at all. Press play and Ms. Chelsea guides the rest.
A CD player is worth having. It hands the music over to your scholar so they can choose to put it on, replay a favorite and learn at their own pace, instead of asking an adult for a device every time. You may luck out at a thrift store; otherwise Amazon has plenty to choose from. This is our favorite because of how quickly you can skip from track to track, and it plays cassettes and has a radio. This one is a great budget-friendly option.
Every month also includes a digital download, so the same songs work on a phone, or on a Yoto or Toniebox if that is what your family already uses.
