A gift ticket you print at home (or forward via email). It’s a one-page card with the child’s name and a gift code already on it — tuck it in an envelope, put it under the tree, or hand it over at the party. You’ll be able to download it the moment you check out, and we email you a copy as well.

No — and checkout never asks for it (that form is just your own billing details). After checkout, choose how to redeem: enter their details yourself or send them a code. Nothing ships until the gift is activated, so the address is always right.

Nothing is lost. The gift code is also in the email we sent you, and we keep the record on our end. Forward the email, or contact us and we’ll resend it.

Yes. Add the Sibling Add-On at checkout for each additional child, up to 3. Every sibling gets their own envelope with their name on it, their own booklet, stickers and extras, for the same months you gave. The CD and digital download are shared, since one plays for the whole family. When the gift is activated, the family enters each child’s name.

Never. Your gift is paid in full and it ends when it ends. Activating it takes their name, email and address, nothing more. Their parents will never be asked for a card, and it ends automatically at the end of your gift. If they want to keep it going afterward, that’s entirely their choice.

No. Once you’ve given it, it’s theirs.

Yes. If you already know their address and the month you’d like the first envelope to arrive, activate the gift yourself from the link on your confirmation page or email. The envelopes start arriving with no step for the family at all.

Go to mailboxmelodies.net/redeem and enter the gift code from your ticket (it’s in the gift email, too). Add the child’s name, your email and mailing address, and pick the month you’d like the first envelope to arrive — activate by the 12th to make that month’s mailing. The gift is already paid in full, so you’ll never be asked for a card.

Envelopes ship on the 15th and typically arrive within 3–7 business days by USPS. When the family activates the gift, they choose the month they’d like the first envelope to arrive. Activate by the 12th to make that month’s mailing; after the 12th, the first envelope ships on the 15th of the following month.

Easily. Order any time before Christmas and you’ll have the printable ticket to give on the day. The family activates it whenever they’re ready and picks the start month, so the first envelope lands mid-January, which is honestly a lovely time for something new to show up. If you’d rather it be in the mailbox before Christmas, activate it yourself by December 12th and the first envelope ships on the 15th.

Yes — and that’s deliberate. A player the child can run themselves is what makes it theirs: they press play, they pick the song. Here’s the player I recommend, and here’s a budget-friendly one — both around $20–30. Every month also comes with a digital download code, so it works on a phone, a Yoto, or a Toniebox too.

Ms. Chelsea believes every child should have ownership over their own musical experience, which is why right now we’re adding a free kid-friendly CD player to every gift (through Oct 15). Mailbox Melodies is thoughtfully designed for developing minds of ages 0–6, but some 6+ have reported enjoying it as well — especially the story time and sing-alongs! Each volume is written to work across that whole range, so a one-year-old and a four-year-old can listen to the same CD and get different things out of it.
